• All saddles are built on a hand-made, steel reinforced wood tree, designed to fit
    modern horses and riders. It is weighted and balanced to stay level and in place.
    The saddles are built
    in a close-contact style as shown in the picture below, so you
    can feel your horse.
  • All saddles are equipped with either a balance strap or a back cinch
    (Western) for safety.
  • All saddles are equipped with a large comfortable leaping horn which
    has a two position adjustment.
  • Seat sizes range from 18 to 20 inches, but can be special ordered to
    fit a shorter or taller rider. Refer to the "Measuring" link above on
    “How to Measure” for a sidesaddle.
  • All saddles are made of the finest quality saddle skirting leather.
    The seats are made of upholstery leather over a layer of high
    density foam.  Standard seat colors are matte black, matte
    chocolate brown, and cream. Caramel and rust can be special ordered.
  • Silver is an option and may be supplied by the client, and then the
    saddle can be designed to incorporate the silver.

  • This is the latest fully carved western model. It was made for Leslie Mohr of Fort Saskatchewan, AB. On the leaping horn it is engraved "For Gramps". He had left some money for Leslie, so this lovely sidesaddle is dedicated to his memory as he especially loved to watch her ride side saddle.
    Texas Rose is a fully carved western side saddle with Montana silver corners and conchos. It was made for Ruth Phillips of Livingston, Texas.
    The Ramblin' Rose is a rich chestnut leather side saddle complete with a black pebbled leather seat and pommels. It is finished with Montana Silversmith corners and conchos. Dannielle Fenske of Fort Saskatchewan, AB is the proud owner of this beatifully carved western side saddle.

    This saddle was made for Karin Fejer of Valdemarsvik, Sweden. It is russet skirting leather with chocolate suede seat and pommels. Karin supplied her own vintage sterling silver horse head corners and buckles. It has an over-sized off-side pocket with the 2 sterling buckles as well as a large concho with the initial "KF". The conchos were custom made in a vintage slotted style to accommodate the saddle strings. The saddle is equipped with a vintage style tapadero strirup. The Bandita is partially carved. A very unique saddle.

    Liberty

    The Blue Belle was made for Sandy Schroter and her girls from Sherwood Park, AB. It is made of chestnut skirting, with a black pebbled leather seat and pommels. It has a border stamping and simple carving, and is accented by turquoise and sterling silver conchos. The saddle has an offside pocket with a turquoise and silver buckle.

    The Bandita
    Here is a very different saddle. I call it the Lorie Retro . It was made as a surprise Christmas gift for Lorie McIvor of Devon, AB. It is a copy of an 1850's style saddle . The saddle is in burgundy leather with over-lays of burgundy suede and smooth leather to match the seat and pommels. The seat and over-lays are all stitched in a decorative pattern. The saddle is accented by silver conchos and stirrup.

    Papillion Model

    The Papillion is border stamped as well as partially carved with butterflies and free-hand fushia flowers.
    This saddle has contrasting smooth leather piping on the cantle back and decorative pommels. It also has custom sterling silver conchos and a classic bent-wood stirrup.

    Proud owners of this design are Diane and Candace McLaughlin of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and their monogram has been engraved onto the leaping horn as shown.

    Southwest Lone Star
    This model, which was designed and custom-made for Hedi Klassen, Ardrossan, AB, is border stamped with both brass and turquoise studs.

    It also has silver and gold-plated "Lone Star" conchos and horse hair tassels. The pommels are decorative and the leaping horn has been monogrammed with the owner's initials. The Southwest Lone Star is complete with a classic bent-wood stirrup and has a stitched seat.

    Shown here is a basic Western saddle in dark chocolate leather. Brass studs and brass conchos can easily be added to this model to dress it up.

    The Gold Star model has been done in gold-plated "Lone Star" conchos. The pommels are decorative with silver studs, and is complete with a stitched seat.

    Proud owners of this saddle are Paige and Shelby Preston of Chilliwack, BC.

    This is a very traditional western sidesaddle. It has saddle strings for convenience carrying a slicker on the trail. It is also equipped with a loop to attach a crupper.The skirting is finished with a simple stamped border. Note the molded offside pocket for a flask.

    This saddle has been purchased by Pat Portas of Sherwood Park, AB.

    All future Tattersall Side Saddles will be fitted with a custom-designed silver maple leaf to represent their "Made in Canada" status.

    Liberty is a mahogany Western side saddle with a chocolate brown suede seat, border stamping and saddle strings. It has an extra large pocket trimmed with a silver flying eagle concho and 25 cent coin eagle conchos as well.

    The saddle was made for Caren Reaves of Bartonville, Texas. The eagles are in memory of her father.
